Do you work with companies that don't have a brand yet?
Yes — about a third of our launches are pre-revenue or early-stage companies. We can run the full arc from naming to first dollar of media. We do require a committed founding team and a clear sense of the market you intend to enter; we're not the right partner for "we'll figure it out as we go."
What size companies do you typically partner with?
Our partners range from Series A startups to publicly-traded companies with billion-dollar valuations. The common thread is ambition, not size — we look for teams that intend to define their category, not optimize their corner of it. Most engagements start at $80K and the largest run into seven figures annually.
Can we hire you for just one discipline — say, the identity, but not the strategy?
Sometimes. If the strategic foundation is already strong and well-documented, we'll happily pick up at identity, content, or product. If we can tell the strategy isn't load-bearing, we'll say so and propose a short positioning sprint up front — it's almost always cheaper than redoing the work twice.
How long does a typical project take?
A focused Sprint runs 6–10 weeks. A full Launch engagement runs 12–20 weeks. A Partnership is open-ended, with quarterly priority-setting. We don't do six-month strategy decks that ship into a vacuum.
Do you take equity or barter for services?
It's not something we structure into our default engagements. We're better partners when the relationship is straightforward — fixed scope, fixed fee, clear deliverables.
Where is the team based?
Clyvonna is incorporated in Iowa and operates as a remote-first studio across North America and Europe. We travel to client locations for kickoffs, workshops, and shoots — and most partners visit us at least once during a Launch engagement.
